Katrina Renee' Canada Newton 53, Passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 after a long, enduring battle with cancer. Born on the Fourth of July 1967, a firecracker from the start, you never met a more dedicated NFL fan on Sunday, master prankster every single day, hard-worker and full of life lady. Renee' was a graduate of East Hardin High School and a member of the Rebels Marching Band. She had a zest for life and lived every day to the fullest. Her passion for fishing was matched by her beloved husband Ben. Renee' was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She loved her time spent with her granddaughter Raegan, as she brought much joy to her life. A better sister and daughter cannot be found and her love for family was limitless. She is finally at peace and sharing in much laughter and love with her dad and beloved grandmothers. Renee' is preceded in death by her father, Larry Joe Canada. She is survived by her husband, Ben Newton; sons, Britt Davis and Jefferson Davis; daughter, Abigail (Michael) Fields; step son, Brandon (Stephanie) Newton; mother, Katrina (Bill) Morris; brother, Steve (Cheryl) Canada; sisters, Tammy (Bill) Graham and Crystal Canada; three grandchildren, Raegan, Mallory and Ethan, as well as many nephews, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews. A true animal lover, Renee' is also survived by her precious boxers Dixie and Peyton. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Don Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continue after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
