Virginia Kathryn Hunt, 87, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. She was a native of Columbia and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. She was a Christian that always made sure her daughters were involved in church and she loved making crafts. She was a seamstress and retired clerk from S & H Greenstamps. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Hunt; her parents, Ivan and Georgia Lee Murrell Burton; and six siblings, Jewell Howard, Vernon Burton, Clarice McGaha, Norma Potts, Ethel McCoy, and Phyllis Moore. She is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Wayne) Rountree of Elizabethtown, Abby Ennes of Mt. Washington, and Andrea Schmidt of Louisville; two brothers, Harlan Burton of Shepherdsville and Leonard Burton of Boston; one sister, Glenna Shofner of Campbellsville; 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. A graveside service is at 2 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at Hardin Memorial Park with Rev. Roger McGuffin officiating. Condolences may be expressed at brownfuneral.com.
