Carol Withrow

Carol Withrow was born in Duluth, MN on August 28, 1926. She died at age 94 on January 15, 2021. Carol was a chaplain's wife, nurse, medical missionary, Sunday school teacher, prayer warrior, teacher at ECTC, story teller, gracious host, and friend to all. She was a Gerontological and Med/Surg Nurse. Entering her 7th decade of life, Carol embraced her more daring side. She traveled to thirteen countries on five continents. Adventures included: white water rafting, zip lining, parasailing, hand gliding, dog sledding, bungee jumping, skydiving, an Ice Hotel, five medical mission trips, a cruise to Panama, a Nascar ride, a covered wagon trip, and visited the Holy Land. Her life touched millions. Her family and friends rest in the assurance that Dad Withrow and Jesus her Lord have now welcomed her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren H. Withrow (1993); daughter, Elliene Swanson (2005); and son, Warren H. Withrow (2017). She is survived by her brother, Lester Weko, six grandchildren, Warren E. Withrow/Melissa, Matthew Withrow/Jazmin, Jenny Swanson, Peter Swanson, Danielle Friars/Rick, and Michael Swanson/Daneka; thirteen great grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Raleigh Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon National Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. Thursday and continues after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus or Gideon's International.
