Clyde William "C.W." Bowen

Clyde William "C.W." Bowen, age 81, of Elizabethtown, passed away at Baptist Health Hardin on Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was a native of Upton and served in the U.S. Navy. He sold cars and was in the element when he could banter with the bidder on the price. He was an auctioneer, but he loved being the "Ring Man" best of all. He was a loving father and husband. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mayme Bowen; his first wife, Roberta F. Roach; one son, W. Marvin Bowen; six brothers, Robert, Jesse, Dude, Roy, Urban, and Raymond; three sisters, Dorothy Phillips, Helen Watson, and Gladys Sego. He is survived by his second wife of 29 years, Bonnie Hancock Bowen; two sons, Marshall (Missy) Bowen and John (Michelle) Bowen; one daughter, Sondra (Ron) Blair; one sister, Doris (Earl) Crews; daughter-in-law, Amanda Grey Bowen; two step sons, Tyler (Cindy) Hancock and Tod (Shannon) Hancock; one step-daughter, Kristin C. (Lee) Hancock; eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and continues after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Crusade for Children or Stephensburg Missionary Baptist Church.
