Phillip Gene Hatfield

Phillip Gene Hatfield, 75, of Howevalley, passed away at his home on Monday, December 14, 2020. He was born to Homer and Nellie Lyons Hatfield and attended Larue County High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and worked in blasting construction where he worked as a powerman and driller. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty June Duvall Hatfield; two brothers, Robert and Wilbur Hatfield; and a sister, Bertha Morris. He is survived by his companion, Shortie Holbert; a sister, Fern Schur; step-son, Jerry Dyer; step-granddaughter, Erin Dyer Witharane; sister-in-law, Sheryl Hatfield; caregiver, Don Howard; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Howevalley Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
