Vincent Wayne Chaney, 57, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, December 11, 2020 at Helmwood Healthcare surrounded by his family. Although he was a man of few words, Vince had a special gift of connecting with people. He was a Christian man who loved Jesus and had a heart filled with unconditional love for all people. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music and was a special friend of Project Learn. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Toney Chaney, Jr. and Norma Jean Coy Chaney. He is survived by two brothers, Anthony William Chaney (Pam) of Lexington and James Phillip Chaney (Maria) of Elizabethtown; his nieces and nephews, J.R. Chaney (Alia), Phillip Aaron Chaney (Bekah), James Phillip Chaney, Jr. (Jamie), Cameron Chaney (Brendan), and Mallory Jenkins (Tyler); and his great nieces and nephews, Trey, Karington, Caedmon, Mia, Micah, Isla, Anna, Atchison, and Jaxson. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Kiger officiating. Due to current state mandates the funeral will be for immediate family only.
