Shawn Joseph Lynch, 62, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home. He was born in Beaufort, SC, grew up in Cloverport, KY, lived and worked in Sellersburg, IN before moving to Elizabethtown to be close to his family. He was a real estate agent and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Arless Lynch, Sr. and Deloris Jean Loeser. He is survived by his wife of 17 1/2 years, Dina S. Lynch; son, Scott Lynch of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Sheree (Mark) Nelson of Elizabethtown and Sara (Jesse) Harlan of Harvest, AL; two step-sons, Tylor Miller and Austin Miller of Elizabethtown; step-mother, Mary Ann Lynch of Cloverport; a brother, James A. (Rosemary) Lynch, Jr. of Louisville; three sisters, Mary (Joseph) Shelman of Henderson, Donna (Larry) Newton of Hawesville, and Diane (Brad) Aldridge of Cloverport; five grandchildren, Logan, Danielle, Alex, Samantha, Ian, and a granddaughter due in February. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Kirby Rust officiating. Due to current state mandates the funeral will be for immediate family only and livestreamed through the funeral home Facebook page. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
