Howard W. Pence

Howard W. Pence, 97, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, November 23, 2019 at his home. He was a native of Grayson County, served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Signal Corp. He was a lifelong member of Elizabethtown Church of Christ where he served as elder for many years. He was the owner and founder of Howard W. Pence and Sons Construction. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teanie Pence; four brothers, Calvert, Gayland, Paul, and Ferrie Pence; two sisters, Evaline Moon and Carrie Drane; and parents, Lonard and Daisy Fulkerson Pence. He is survived by two sons, Michael (Patsy) Pence and David (Donna) Pence all of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Tonya (Sean) Reininger of Franklin, TN, Cory (April) Pence of Lexington, Kyle (Leslie) Pence of Nashville, and Kendrick (Rue) Ammons of Elizabethtown; and ten great grandchildren. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Elizabethtown Church of Christ with Bro. John Board officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home and continues after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
