Carmine May Skees

Carmine May Skees, 91, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Helmwood Healthcare. She was a native of Hardin County, was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, and formerly worked at Good-n-Handy. She was a Kentucky Colonel and formerly very active in the American Legion for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Thomas Skees, Sr.; and parents, Garland and Fannie Slack Stewart. She is survived by two children, Harry Thomas "Tommy" Skees, Jr. (Karen) and Belinda Skees Stark (Greg) all of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Kristin Stark Mitchell, Jeffrey Alan Stark, Amber Renee Skees, Brittany Nicole Stark, and Emily May Skees; one step grandchild, Jarrod Hurst; and two great grandchildren, Evan Clay Mitchell and Duncan Norris Mitchell. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home with Roger McCurrry officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation is from 3-6 p.m. Sunday and continues after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
