Thomas A. Robbins

Thomas A. Robbins, 67, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Akron, Ohio, was a member of St. James Catholic Church, and the American Legion Post 113. He served in the military for 21 years, 6 in the Air Force and in 1989 joined the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany, Korea, and Fort Stewart, Georgia. He volunteered at St. Vincent dePaul where his hobby was restoring clocks and fixing things. He was a corvette enthusiast and was a member of the Classic Corvette Club in Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Frances Willa Allen Robbins. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Eileen Robbins; son, Kurtis Robbins of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Jessica Robbins of Fort Collins, Colorado, Mary Hopkins (Dimitrius) of Dayton, Ohio, and Christine Robbins of London, England; sister, Carol Thomas of Nashville, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Alice Shull (Jim) of Akron, Ohio; two nephews, Christopher Thomas (Jenny) and Walter Shull and two nieces, Rebecca Shull and Victorya Shull; and many cousins. The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Linebach officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and continues after 9 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Vincent dePaul.
