Charles Wesley Jordan, Sr.

Charles Wesley Jordan, Sr., 96, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Mason County, Kentucky, and was the oldest member of First Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher, trustee, treasurer, and sang in the men's choirs. He retired from Dow Corning, was a former barber at Ft. Knox, an upholsterer, and an active cyclist in Senior Games. He was the oldest of six children all whom preceded him in death, Rollie Jordan, Robert Jordan, James Jordan, Bertie Green, and Sally Figgs; and his parents, Charles Albert and Lydia Turner Jordan. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Jean Jordan; son, Charles Jordan, Jr. of Louisville; four daughters, Deborah Brumsey and Melissa Jordan of Elizabethtown, Faye (Michael) Washington of Hodgenville, and Ramona Hall of Duncan, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home with Shayne Stockton officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
