Alan Ray Decker

SGT Alan Ray Decker, 31 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in North Carolina. He was a SGT E-5 in the United States Army, was stationed at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina and served one tour in Afghanistan. He was a 2005 graduate of John Hardin High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Eugene Decker and maternal grandfather, James Ronald Decker. He is survived by two sons, Gunner (8) and Gauge (7) and the mother of his children, Jessie Decker all of Elizabethtown. His mother, Debra Lynn Decker of Leitchfield; maternal grandmother, Mary Decker of Leitchfield; ten siblings, Bryon Decker, Stoy Decker, James Decker, Gail Basham, Shawn Farrow, Amber Decker, Jennifer Decker, Tearson Kuhn, Christina Decker and Shawna Grider; his former foster family, Garrett and Mary White and Michelle Kelly and his dog PBR. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
