Russell Lee Strader, 65, of Sonora, died Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Boston, KY, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sonora where he was a Deacon. He retired from International Harvester and formerly worked at Crucible Magnetics for 6 years. He loved to hunt, play golf, wood working, fish ,and set up at the Hardin County Farmers Market. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter L. Strader and Mamie Catherine Sidebottom Strader. He is survived by his wife, Lois Bright Strader; sister, Janet (George) Harris of Louisville; and niece, Kimberly Harris. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Carson and Pastor Walter Mantooth officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation is Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and will continue at 12 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, or the American Heart Association.
