Shirley Carol Butler, 59, of Elizabethtown, left this earth on Thursday, September 13, 2018 and was reunited with her beloved son, Jonathan Reed. Shirley was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to John and Mary Lou Butler. She graduated from Tri-West High School in Indiana and retired from AVX in South Carolina. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing games, reminiscing, and watching hallmark movies; and she loved animals. She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Allen Reed; and her parents, John and Mary Lou Butler. Survivors include her favorite cat, Nora; daughter, Miranda Justiniano of Elizabethtown; sister, Susan Riggs (Conleigh) of Elizabethtown; brother, David Butler (Lorrie) of Elizabethtown; her soul mate, John Reed of Conway, South Carolina; good friend, Rose Brumback of Elizabethtown; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A memorial service will be held in Elizabethtown on October 6, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her memory.
