Donald Joseph Daoust, Sr., 84 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Haverhill, MA and retired after 26 years with the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucille Leduc Daoust. He is survived by his wife, Setsuko Yenshaw Daoust; two sons, Donald Joseph Romeo Daoust Jr. (Brenda) of Mt. Vernon, WA and Walter Martin (Sandy) of Round Rock, TX; seven daughters, Lucille Queen (George) of Dover, DE, Debra Garrettson of Catonville, MD, Jacqueline Daoust of Lacey, WA, Brenda Barret (Kevin) of King, NH, Christine Crowley (Michael) of Lancaster, MA, Angelique Daoust of Sacramento, CA and Mary Buford (Joseph) of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Jacqueline Harty of WI and Suzan Castor of VT and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
