Minnie Rose Hagan Speicher

Minnie Rose Hagan Speicher, 104 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Hamilton Continuing Care Center in Hamilton, NJ. She was a native of Hardin County and a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church. She was an avid bridge player until the age of 95 and during WWII, she was a telegraph operator for Western Union. Her life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Speicher Sr.; her parents, Grover Cleveland Hagan and Alta Rose House Hagan and siblings, Bernadine Ahler, Kenneth Hagan, James Hagan, Clifford Hagan and Louis Hagan. She is survived by her children, William A. Speicher Jr. (Susan) of Louisville, Pamela M. Speicher of Elizabethtown and Suzanne Mantell (Cary) of Lawrenceville, NJ; grandchildren, Stephanie, Geoffrey (Lori), John, and Andrew Speicher, Jeremy and Adam Mantell, Neil Vickery (Charity) and Lindsey Hood (Bobby); and great grandchildren, Ethan and Owen Hood and Caroline, Connor and Collin Speicher. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, who she adored. The funeral will be Friday 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Dick Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the church. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
