Pauline Stadler Hannah

Pauline Stadler Hannah, 91 of Cecilia, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at her home. She was a native of Zeiss, Austria and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was a volunteer for the United States Army where she was a translator during WWII and a volunteer at the American Red Cross. She retired from Duke's Sporting Goods, was a farmer for 43 years, and loved gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Franklin Hannah; daughter, Dorothy Hannah; parents, Johann and Maria Ploech Stadler; and siblings, Josefa Steinberg, Will Helm Stadler, and Carla Stadler. She is survived by two sons, Roy Glen (Belinda) Hannah of Cecilia and Steven (Cynthia) Hannah of Salem, Indiana; two siblings, Alfred Stadler and Gertrude Brand Mair both of Austria; five grandchildren, Sharon (Michael) Grismer, Christina (CJ) Hannah, Pamela Hannah, Timothy (Brenda) Hannah, and Glen (Kristen) Hannah; eleven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Father Ben Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with a Prayer Vigil at 7:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or Hosparus.
