Thelma Pendygraft Viers

Thelma Pendygraft Viers, 86, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, August 3, 2018 at her home. She was a native of Hardin County, a 1950 graduate of Rineyville High School, and a charter member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church where she was the clerk from 1982-2012, a Sunday school teacher, and Missions Leader. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Samuel Viers; daughter, Sharon Gayle Lutz; and parents, Robert Scott and Pansy Cecil Pendygraft. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Randall) Dingess of Elizabethtown; son-in-law, Donald L. Lutz of Elizabethtown; brother, Robert Neil Pendygraft of Glasgow; sister, Dorothy L. Meier of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, William Lewis (Sarah) Lutz, Joshua G. (Farrah) Dingess, and Kevin R. (Julie) Dingess all of Elizabethtown; and nine great grandchildren. The funeral is Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Tunnel Hill Baptist Church with Brother Josh Looten officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home and will continue at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
