Thomas Styron Reynolds

Thomas Styron Reynolds, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the age of 78 years. A native of Elizabethtown, Tom attended Elizabethtown High School and the National Trust School at Northwestern University. After a brief stint as Office Manager of Addie S. French, he began work at First Hardin National Bank in the Trust Department, and stayed in that department as First Hardin changed ownership to Citizens Fidelity and then PNC Bank. In 1987, he joined the Trust Department at First Citizens Bank, and retired in 2001 after more than 39 total years in the banking industry. After a well deserved break, Tom was appointed as the Alcohol and Beverage Control Officer for the City of Elizabethtown in 2002 and retired from this post in 2015. Tom served many local organizations throughout his lifetime to include being a Civil Service Commissioner, involved with the Elizabethtown Kiwanis Club, and Elizabethtown's Troop 233 of the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a volunteer firefighter, and an active member of his church. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Florence Reynolds of Elizabethtown; sister, Nancy Elizabeth Reynolds of Elizabethtown and father, S. C. Reynolds of Florida. He is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Geri, son Bill (Melissa) Reynolds and their children, Naomi and Jude all of Louisville, as well as a daughter, Susan (Brian) Bell of Hodgenville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home and will continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. The funeral mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Clare Catholic Church in Colesburg with the Reverend Benedict J. Brown presiding.
