Betty Elmore Vance

Betty Elmore Vance, 78, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hardin County, and a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Hardin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a bank teller at First Hardin National and a bookkeeper for the Hardin County Sheriff's Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Lee Vance; and parents, Howard and Mary Generose Brown Elmore. She is survived by two step children, Bob (Angie) Vance and Leisa Vance (Stephen) Benningfield; two sisters, Diane Logsdon and Elaine (Gordon) Talbott; special sister-in-law, Sue Wise; four grandchildren, Michael (Lexi) Benningfield, Amy (Mike) Jones, Brent (Gwen) Vance, and Adam Vance; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Linebach officiating. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and continues after 9 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. James Catholic Church.
