Rev. Froman Peters, Sr.

Rev. Froman Peters, Sr., 68 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Minister, heavy equipment operator and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilary Peters and Ollie Mae Elliott Peters; a brother, Michael Peters anda sister, Carolyn Goodman. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Alice Shartzer Peters; one son, Froman (Stephanie) Peters, Jr. of Upton; Angelia (Bill) Carlson of Glendale; one brother, Duel Peters of Upton; four sisters, Alicia (Gary) Sanders, Audrey Wallace, Violetta Peters all of Elizabethtown and Vetricia Guffey of Glendale; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Goodman of Cecilia; grandchildren, Layla Grace Johnston, Olivia Mae Johnston, Jacob Ramsey, John Phillip Ramsey, Amanda Turner, Blake Carlson and Corrina Carlson; his step mother, Mary (Herbert) Ritchie of Elizabethtown; step brother, Pat (Donna) Goodman of Elizabethtown; step sisters, Peggy Moore of Florida, Teresa (Steve) Sebastian of Caney, Glenda (Ricky) Goodman and Karen (Kenny) Goodman all of Howevalley and all of the Shartzer family. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. David Reynolds and Bro. William Dodson officiaating. Burial will follow in Open Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and continue after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
