Morton Lewis Field

Morton Lewis Field, 83 of Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born March 19, 1934 in Tiffin, Ohio. Mort was stationed in Germany and served in the Korean War. After his military duties, he spent the rest of his life in Elizabethtown, where he was the owner of Inland Incorporated for the past 38 years and previously worked in retail. Mort dearly loved his children and grandchildren. He was an active member of the Bethesda Ministries. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta Weaver and Lester W. Field and a brother, Darvin Field. He is survived by his wife, Betty B. Field; three daughters, Sharon Novak (Barry), Beverly Taylor (Kevin) and Pam Johnson (Marshall); siblings, Arvin Field (Judy), Phyllis Strong (Jim) and Kaye Vermillion; grandchildren, Lesley M. Wood, Taylor Johnson, Austin Howard, Amanda and Emily Novak; step grandchildren, Stuart, Josh and Chris and a special friend, Kendall Risinger. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
