Kathy Jean Allen, 63, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville. She was a native of Jefferson County, and was a graduate from Mill Creek School. She attended the Wesley Hilltop Senior Citizens Club and St. James Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Evelyn Powell Allen. She is survived by her uncle, Charlie Powell of Jefferson County; cousins and caretakers, Barbara Myers of Meade County, and Melba (Taylor) Kindervater of Elizabethtown; three caregivers, Joy Shaw, Rohland Pinkelman, and Pauline Conover; and a large extended family and friends. The funeral is Monday at 3 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Linebach officiating. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery in Flaherty.
