Barry Keith Knight

Barry Keith Knight went to be with his Heavenly Father Thursday, January 25, 2018. Barry was born on April 24, 1950 in Fort Knox, KY and met Brenda, at the Dixie Roller Rink on December 31, 1971 and they were married on March 24, 1972. He graduated from North Hardin High School in 1968, attended ECC and then he joined the Coast Guard. He retired in June 2007 after 31 years from Dow Corning where he was known as "Candy Man". Barry was a member of the Upton Masonic Lodge #749, Kosair Shriners and Riasok Shrine Club in Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his father, Deward F. Knight and brother-in-law, Barry Gerlach. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Brenda Lynn Hatcher Knight; a daughter, Lorraine Marie (Aaron) Wilcox; his son, Thomas Knight; mother, Mae Knight; two sisters, Pam Gerlach and Trish (Kurt) McWhirter; his six grandchildren, Aaron W. Wilcox, MacKenzie S. Knight, Lindsey N. Knight, Breanna M. Wilcox, Cierra D. Wilcox and Caleb T. Knight; and several nieces and nephews. The Celebration of his life will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Claudia Galloway, great niece Hannah Kennington, Rev. Billie Curle, Brother Mike Bell and Brother Craig and Lee Ann Perkins officiating. Remembrance of life will be read by his son. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday and continue after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. Monday.
