Robert Eugene Keplinger, 74 of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Hardin County and a retired electrician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Orville and Mary Elsie Helm Keplinger. Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doris Masterson Keplinger; a daughter, Cindy (Bradley) Sage of Elizabethtown; one brother, Calvin (Paula) Keplinger of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Beverly (Clyde) Grimes and Mary Lois (Don) Hill all of Elizabethtown, Linda Mudd of Bardstown and Sandy (Paul) Foran of White Mills; three grandchildren, Hannah Roby, Noah Roby and Jake Keplinger; lifelong friend, Allan Edwards; many nieces and nephews; and his estranged son, Ronald Keplinger. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Chaplain Erik Gramling officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
