Siglinde C. Couch

Siglinde C. Couch, longtime resident of Lexington, Kentucky, died peacefully Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She was a native of Kronberg, Germany, Siglinde. Known by her friends and family as Linde, was a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Business and Economics and many years later went on to work as a real estate agent in Lexington. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Lexington's vibrant opera scene and a former president of Lexington Opera Society's Bravo Guild. She had an interest in local politics, and was an active campaigner in various Lexington mayoral and city council races. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Couch, Jr.; parents, Georg Ernst and Elisabeth Kunz Eichenauer; brother, Gottfried Eichenauer; and two sisters, Ursula Noltemeyer and Gudrun Haag. She is survived by her two sons, Stewart Martin (Laura) Couch of Elizabethtown and Sherman Rolf (Amber) Couch of Cincinnati; four granchildren, Miranda Jean Couch, Erin Christine Couch, Jacob Stewart Couch, and Eric Michael (Jennifer) Hall; and her great grandson, Ethan Michael Hall. Memorial Services will be held at Atria Senior Living in Elizabethtown on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and at the Campbell House in Lexington on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 2 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, it was Linde's request that any memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army, 1006 North Mulberry Street, Elizabethtown, KY 42701, OperaLex, P.O.
