Everett Brandon "E.B." Cash, 77, of Cecilia, died Friday 17 November 2017 at Helmwood Healthcare. He was born 2 April 1940, the seventh son of Everett and Lena Miller Cash. A native of Hardin County, he grew up on his parents farm in White Mills. As a young man he was an ardent and passionate baseball player who played at the High School, College, and Minor League levels as a catcher. Shortly after his baseball career ended he moved to Clearwater, Florida where he met and married his wife Judy. Longing for home, he and his family returned to Kentucky where they took up residence in Cecilia. A man of many skills and talents, he worked as a farmer, bus driver, water plant operator and retired from the Hardin County Road Department. He loved to trail ride with his wife Judy, garden, and work on his farm. He was a truly wonderful and inspirational man who will be immensely missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Judy Lee Klepfer Cash of 49 years; five brothers, Paul, William (Bill), Sidney, Gene, and George (Yantz); and two sisters, Agnes and Francis. He is survived by his daughter, Joy (Jerry) Snook of Cecilia; and sons, Dennis (Teresa) Cash of Elizabethtown and Glenn (Becky) Cash of Manassas, Virginia. Four grandchildren, Kimberly, Kevin, Jack, and Brandon and two great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Avery. Two brothers, Donnie Cash of Louisville and Wayne (Mardell) Cash of Corydon, Indiana; and two sisters, Nell (Harrold) Purkhiser of Louisville and Judy Claggett of Cincinnati, Ohio. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday and continues after 9 a.m. tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Hardin County Animal Shelter.
