William F. Kapfhammer

William F. Kapfhammer, 92 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, September 29, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Hardin County, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a supervisor of Post Engineers at Fort Knox Civil Service. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 113, VFW, Morrison Masonic Lodge F&AM, and NARFE. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Drake Kapfhammer; a son, Ronald W. Kapfhammer; his parents, Walter and Verda Cox Kapfhammer; and brothers, Paul M. and W.G. Kapfhammer. He is survived by three sons, Mike Kapfhammer and Greg Kapfhammer both of Louisville and Jon Kapfhammer of Elizabethtown; sister, Virginia L. Heady of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Don Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:30-8 p.m. and continues after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
