Ina Hockman Wise, 85, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, September 24, 2017. A native of Meade County, she was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. She was a previous member of the Elizabethtown Women's Club, the Hardin County Republican Women's Club, and the Eastern Star. Before having a family, she worked Civil Service at Fort Knox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius A. Wise; and her parents, George W. and Myrtle Kellems Hockman; preceded by her brothers, Oakley Eugene Hockman, Melvin Otto Hockman, Andrew Baxter Hockman, George Washington Hockman Jr., James Madison Hockman, John Lark Hockman; and sisters, Ossie Louise Peters and Viola Marie Powell. Survivors include a son, Julius Scott Wise (Teresa) of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Juliana Jones (Chris) of Elizabethtown; two grandson, Julius Alexander Wise and Gavin Reese Jones; and two sisters, Ava Hockman of Brandenburg and Marcella Heavrin of Brandenburg. The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, with Dr. Glenn Chasteen officiating. Burial will be follow in Hardin Memorial Park.
