James Alan Davidson

James Alan Davidson, 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Allegro. He was a native of Elyria, Ohio, retired from the United States Army after 21 years, and served in the 82nd Air Borne Division. After retirement he worked as an independent contractor for the News Enterprise and was a warehouseman for the Fort Knox Civil Service for 18 years. He was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, the American Legion Post 113, and VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion "Doti" Cummings; two daughters, Karen Branstetter and Faye Winkler; and parents, Carl and Edna Phelps Davidson. He is survived by his children, Darlene (Ed) Kraemer of Winfield, West Virginia, David Davidson, Arlaine Marr of Elizabethtown, Janet Willis of Alabama, and David Chapman of Ekron; brother, Carl "Skip" Davidson of Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
