Lorraine H. Longendyck, 92, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away, surrounded by loving family, on July 9th in Brick, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Longendyck and her sister, Eileen Ryall. She served at St. James Catholic Church as bookkeeper and school secretary for many years. In later years, she was an active member of the bereavement committee. For hobbies, she loved playing bingo and crocheting. Noted for her kindness, strength, quick wit, and brutal honesty, she will be remembered fondly by all. She is survived by three daughters, Eileen Kimmich (Bob) of Hollywood, Florida, Evelyn Doyle (Bud), and Nancy Longendyck (Jim Sweat) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Brown Funeral Home on Friday, July 14th from 4-8 pm, and Saturday, July 15th from 9-10:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, Elizabethtown, KY at 11:00 a.m., with burial immediately following the Mass at St. James Cemetery.
