Mattie Eva Evans Goodman, 90 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at her home. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Yates Chapel Community Church. She worked at the Ft. Knox Laundry for 35 years before retiring from Walmart in 2014 after 19 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheridan Goodman; her parents, Millard Harrison Evans and Saddie Hughes Evans; a brother, Harrison Evans; a sister, Mildred Ceronie and her grandparents, Eckie and Florence Evans. She is survived by her foster children, Johnie Evans, Mary Johnson and Wanda Saylor; a brother, Bobby (Phyllis) Evans of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Jean Dailey of Elizabethtown, Irene Moore of Livermore and Brenda (Delman) Rigdon of Buffalo; seven grandchildren, Sheridan, Franklin, R.T., Jermie, Joshua, Jessica and Roxanne; three special cousins, Linda, Paula and Peggy and a special friend, Betty Pullen The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Ranier officiating. Burial will follow in Howevalley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
