John Charles Kridel, 67, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, June 16, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Los Angeles, California, where he was the owner of a surf shop. He loved Sandra, surfing, his cat, and life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Inga Kridel. He is survived by his life partner, Sandra Wright of Elizabethtown; two children, Steven and Andrea Kridel; and sister, Priscilla Hatzik of California. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Strange officiating. Visitation will start at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
