Lorraine Brady Davis

Lorraine Margaret Brady Davis, 89, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at her home among family and friends. Lorraine grew up in New York City and worked in Time Square and Fifth Avenue. She was a real city girl. She met and married a handsome army man named Bill Davis from the hills of Missouri in New York City and learned about country life. Lorraine became a devoted pastor's wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a strong Christian influence. She loved to teach ladies bible study at church as well as the county jail. Lorraine was a lady of prayer that made a difference in so many ways. She was a member of Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William A. Davis, her daughter, Donna Jean Cody and her parents, Emily and George Brady of Bronx, New York. Lorraine is survived by three sons, William (Carol) David of Indiana, Rev. Ronald (Kathy) Davis of Cecilia, and Curtis (Patricia) Davis of Indiana; two daughters, Dorcas (Kenneth) Tripp of Indiana and Heather (David) Henrietta of White Mills; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Davis officiating. Burial follows at Franklin Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the church and continues after 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
