Oleeta Mae Taber Lawson

Oleeta Mae Taber Lawson, 88 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, May 12, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hardin County, a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and was a nurses aide at Hardin Memorial Hospital for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Broner E. Lawson, her parents, Wilbur W. and Edna Smallwood Taber and two brothers, Thomas Taber and Kenneth Taber. She is survived by three sons, Roger (Anne) Lawson of Elizabethtown, Gary (Karen) Lawson of Frankfort and Steven Douglas (Kitty) Lawson of Madison, AL; one sister-in-law, Mary Taber of Cecilia; six grandchildren, Greg, Kenneth, Erik, Jeffrey, Adam, and Marialena Lawson; four great grandchildren, Abby, Avery, and Broner Ray and Savannah Lawson and her devoted friends, Frances Beard, Helen Jackson, Suzanne Hart and all her special girls of the visitation team from Memorial United Methodist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Janes officiating. Burial will follow in Stephensburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and continue after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
