Duplee "Tootsie" Logue

Duplee "Tootsie" Logue, 74, of Elizabethtown, went to join her Lord, Jesus early on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. She was born on May 10, 1942 in Knox County, Kentucky. Over the last 74 years, Duplee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is known by many as an advocate for children and those in need. Anyone that knew her was always impressed with her welcoming nature and gracious and generous personality. As a child she attended the Pentecostal Church in Gray, Kentucky and a supporter of several churches locally until she could no longer attend due to her Alzheimer's. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Duplee is preceded in death by her parents, Jess McVay and Edna Scalf; and her brothers, Russell McVay, Jim McVay, and Ray McVay. Duplee is survived by her husband, Gene Logue and they would have been married 56 years on May 30th of this year; and her four children, Norma Hatfield (Todd), Teresa Edlin (Todd), Arlene Champ (special friend Bobby Pryor), Marlene Knight (Billy). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Michael Hatfield, Christina Heppermann (Brett), Megan Edlin Tyler Edlin, Jessica Champ, Matthew Champ, Brittany Smith (Travis), Katie Knight, and Jacob Knight; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Sullivan and Imagean Knuckles, and a half brother, Billy Huff. The pallbearers will be Bob Pryor, Billy Knight, Todd Hatfield, Todd Edlin, Jacob Knight, Tyler Edlin, Ed Farmer, and John Butler. The funeral for Mrs. Logue will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home with Brother Mark Judd officiating. Burial follows at 2 p.m. at Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery Central. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Sunday and continues after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
