Curtis Beavers

Curtis Beavers, 89 of Elizabethtown, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Signature Health at North Hardin in Radcliff. He was a native of Willisburg, KY and a member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church. He retired from GE after 35 years, was a member of the American Legion Post #113 and the Fern Creek Grand Masonic Lodge #955. He loved boating, billards, working on lawn mowers and maintenance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Mattie Beavers; three brothers, Raymond Beavers, Carl Beavers and Walker Beavers and two sisters, Flossie Burkhead and Beulah Mudd. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Summers Beavers; 5 children, Debbie James, Donna Reynolds (Jim), Peggy Reichel, Stacey Etienne (Jimmy Jackson) and Dawn Mullins (Barry); 9 grandchildren, Jade Sanders (Alan), Jason James (Elizabeth "Liz"), Amber Sherrard (Brian), Tabitha Beavers, Krystal Craney (Josh), Nicholas Etienne (Jessi), Cynthia Etienne, Miranda McElfresh (Michael) and Stacy Dicus (Nathan); 14 great grandchildren and two brothers, Morgan Beavers and Ancil Beavers. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Tunnel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Looten officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 12 noon Thursday at Tunnel Hill Baptist Church. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
