Frances Hazel Vowels, 93 of Vine Grove, died Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a member of the Kentucky and National Right to Life and retired from Ft. Knox Civil Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Anthony Vowels; a son, Joseph Kevin Vowels and one brother and three sisters. She is survived by three sons, Michael Anthony Vowels of Elizabethtown, Roy Stephen Vowels of San Diego, CA and Stanley Patrick Vowels of Mt. Washington; six daughters, Barbara Jean Vowels of East Lansing, MI, Marilyn Brigid Segal of Louisville, Lana Carol Kilfoile, Elizabeth Ann Richter and Lisa Frances Fogle all of Elizabethtown and Mary Colleen Learned of Vine Grove; 26 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Lincoln officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
