William Leon (Billy) Jones, Jr., 59, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1957 in Elizabethtown, went to East Hardin High School where he excelled in sports, and had a degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University. He lived in Larue County for many years and he loved the country, fishing, and hunting. He was a Christian and if you knew him, you knew he had a strong faith in God. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Glennie Sharp of Constantine and Raymond and Mabel Jones of Radcliff; and also his parents, Bill and Jewell Jones. He is survived by his brother, David Jones of Elizabethtown and his sister, Kathy Jones Williams of Orlando, Florida. The funeral will be Tuesday at 12 noon at Brown Funeral Home. Burial follows at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Monday and continues after 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
