Wilma Fern Hilton, 86, of Cecilia passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at her residence. She was a wife, mother and grandmother, a great cook and enjoyed gardening and all the beauty of God's creation; worked at Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church Daycare and was a member there for 70 years, where she was a Vacation Bible School worker and a WMU member. She was preceded in death by her parents Ella Nichols and Roy Nichols, her husband James Hilton, a brother Gene Nichols and two granddaughters Rhonda Beth Basham and Michele Sallee. She is survived by three daughters, Pam Willcox [Bradley], Judy Zech (Rob) and Teresa Laitinen; one sister, Lorene Jeffries; two brothers, Gailen Nichols (Sandy) and Glenn Nichols; ten grandchildren, Amy Wright (Kevin), Kim Crowder (Dale), Chad Willcox (Erin) Jody Basham (Vicky), Jamie Basham (Hillary), Jason Basham (Channie), Jeremy Basham, Alex Doughty, Andrew Doughty (Hannah) and Kenneth Sallee (Melissa); 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie McDonald and Rev. Eric Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continue after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church.
