Christine Goodman Abell, 97, of Elizabethtown, died February 23, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Eastview, a member of St. James Catholic Church, was a Kentucky Colonel, and formerly worked at Kent Records, Browns Ice Cream, Ft. Knox Laundry, and was a caregiver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Graham Abell; her parents, Steven and Sudie Miller Goodman; two daughters, Rita Fern Graham and Betty Reeves; one step daughter, Margaret Ann Buckman; one step son, Paul Graham Abell, Jr.; three sisters, Alberta Brooks, Tula Kilbarger, and Lucille Trimmer; and one brother, Lonard Goodman. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sicurella of New Jersey; her brother, Howard (Mary) Goodman of Eastview; her step daughter, Mary Juanita Pierce of Charlestown, IN; her step son, William Darrell Abell of McKenzie, TN; five grandchildren, Rebecca Ray of Elizabethtown, Lynn Jackson of Elizabethtown, Christine Strange of St. Paul, MN, Stacy Holloway of Matthews, NC, and Cindy Santoro of Beachwood, NJ; nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The funeral is Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Deacon Karl Drerup officiating. Burial follows at Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
