Carolyn Sue Ballenger, 53, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Monday, January 30, 2017, at St. Petersburg General Hospital. She was a former resident of Elizabethtown and a member of First Unity of St. Petersburg, FL. She was a former Suncoast Hospice nurse and also a former nurse at Palms Pasadena Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Regina Hook Ballenger; and a brother, Carl Thomas Ballenger. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Frugoli of Peachtree City, GA a brother, Terry Ballenger of Greenville, KY; two nieces, Mandy Waddell and Angela Frugoli; and one nephew, Justin Ballenger. The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial follows at Glendale Christian Church. The visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
