James Elton Noblin

James Elton Noblin, 92, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, January 30, 2017, at Signature Healthcare. He was a native of Corinth, MS, a member of Elizabethtown Baptist Church, and enjoyed watching sports. He served in the Coast Guard during WWII and retired from the Civil Service where he was an electronics supervisor on the US Armour Board at Fort Knox. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Rose Curry Noblin; his parents, George E. and Myrtle E. Trantham Noblin; two brothers, William and Newton Games; and three sisters, Martha Burks, Lona Mae Noblin, and Mildred Jacobs. He is survived by two sons, Donald W. (Sandy) Noblin and James F. (Kim) Noblin of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Kimberly Calloway, Matthew Noblin, Mark Noblin, Andrea Mattingly and Briana Mattingly; two great grandchildren, Austin Sweesy and Caleb Sweesy; and several nephews and one niece. The graveside service is at 1 p.m. Thursday at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens with Dr. Glenn Chasteen officiating, Condolences may be expressed at www.brownfuneral.com.
