Dorothy U. Muse, 88 of Rineyville, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her home. She was born in Pearl City, Hawaii on June 1, 1928. She was a Nurse in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1954 to 1955 then she was sent to 6110 US Air Force Hospital in Nagoya, Japan. She retired in September 1990 from Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox, KY after 33 years of Nursing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Seiga and Yuriko Sakihara; her sister, Janet Tenorio and her brother, Richard Sakihara. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ralph Muse; a daughter, Janet Wendy (Mike) Orr of Owensboro; three sons, Ralph Kenneth (Roselle) Muse of Vine Grove, Richard Lorrin (Terry) Muse of Elizabethtown and Anson Gay (Patty) Muse of Rineyville; one brother, Lorrin (Sandy) Sakihara; a sister-in-law, Betty Sakihara; seven grandchildren, Ryan and Ashlee Orr and Aubree, Cassie, Leanda, Matthew and Colt Muse and nine nieces and ten nephews. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rineyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
