Lillian S. Sego, 98, of Bowling Green, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Christian Health Center in Bowling Green. She was born in Hardin County to Raymond Skaggs, Sr. and Lillian Yeager Skaggs, but was reared and nurtured by her father and stepmother, Carrie Skaggs. Lillian graduated from Glendale High School in Glendale where she and Lester later owned and operated Sego's Grocery. She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lester E. Sego, her parents and a son, Phillip Lorin Sego. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn S. Satterfield (Dixie) of Bowling Green, three grandchildren, Brent Houk (Christine), Kimberly Breedon (David) and Melissa Sego Jones, four great grandchildren, Parker Phillip Jones, Maddy Houk, Emily Jones and Ben Houk and special friends, Bobby Houk and Sue Sego Wise. A celebration of life Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Lillian. A special thank you to the beautiful souls of those who helped Lillian through the last years of her journey, especially to those individuals at Christian Health Care who guided her through the final journey with such loving care and kindness.
