Pauline Bland Boyd, passed at Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown on Saturday, December 17, 2016. She was the youngest of nine born to her parents, Hardy and Annie Bland of Cash, KY. With the exception of her eldest sister, who passed from complications after child birth at a young age, all of the Bland children lived into their eighties and nineties. Sisters who preceded her in death were Ethel Priddy, Jessie (Simpson) Walters, Eva Tabb, Carrie Patterson and Wilma Patterson. Brothers were Leon, Lawrence, and Homer Bland. Pauline lived to the oldest age of any of her siblings, 98. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Granville Albert "Ike" Boyd, Jr., by her daughter, Bonnie Lou O'Brien, and by her son-in-law, Franklin Hugh O'Brien. Pauline Zelma Bland Boyd was a member of the Elizabethtown Baptist Church. She had been in a nursing home since 2006 . Although her mind had failed, she still loved the Lord. She is survived by her son, Rodney A. Boyd; her granddaughter, Michelle Boyd O'Brien Willoughby (Halliburton "Sito" Willoughby); two grandsons, Todd Eric Boyd (Angie) and Rodney Scott Boyd (Erica) and by great grandsons, Tyler Todd Boyd and Brandon Goldie. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Chasteen, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
