Philip Bruce Alberts, 77, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Urbana, IL, a Korean and Vietnam War Army veteran and was a member of the VFW in Radcliff and Urbana, IL. He was retired from the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald James and Betty Baird Alberts and by a son, James Newton Alberts. He is survived by his wife, Madge Watkins Alberts, one son, Philip Alberts of Elizabethtown, one daughter, Katherine Alberts of Louisville, one brother, David C. Alberts of Greenbier, Arkansas and four grandchildren, Miranda, Heather, Christopher and Tyler. The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23 at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
