Mary Louise Bewley

Mary Louise Bewley, 88 of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Brimfield, IL and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Louise was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a nurturing grandmother. She was well known for her quilting abilities and her secret apple pie recipe. She loved the Lord and serving her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold K. Bewley; her parents, Robert and Ida Kirtley Cofer; two sisters, Eva Harmon and a brother, Robert Cofer. She is survived by one son, Gary (Pat) Bewley of Elizabethtown; five daughters, Kaye Campbell of Lexington, Faye (Eddie) Jaggers, Janie (Ralph) Hudgin, Patty (Jim) Jenkins and Sandy (Rik) Hawkins all of Elizabethtown; a sister, Pauline Kerrick of Elizabethtown; a brother, Raymond Cofer of Cecilia; a half brother, J. E. Welch of Elizabeththown; thirteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and continue after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
