James Luther Jent

James Luther Jent, 75 of Rineyville, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Letcher County, a 1959 graduate of Howevalley High School and a member of Gospel Way Church where he loved to sing. He retired from Crucible Magnetics after 37 years and was an avid UK and New York Yankees fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mabel Caudill Jent, two brothers, George Jent and Watson Jent and a sister, Alice Grimes. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Klinglesmith Jent; two sons, Richard Jent of Brandenburg and Darren (Mandy) Jent of Rineyville; one daughter, Kimberly Jent of Lexington; one sister, Nancy (James) Moore of Elizabethtown and five granddaughters. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Blueball Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and continue after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
