Herbert Lee "Pete" Frederick

Herbert Lee "Pete" Frederick, 52, of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, surrounded by his family, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School. He retired from The News-Enterprise after 32 years and was the former owner of Robco Construction. He loved to fish in Michigan and Canada and enjoyed hunting. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Lee Frederick; and his father-in-law, Lester G. Swain. Survivors include his fiancée', Terri Swain of Elizabethtown; three children, Cody Frederick and Chloe Frederick, both of Elizabethtown, and Katrina Hager and her husband, Cody, of Brandenburg; his mother and stepfather, Judy Frederick and Bobby Goodman of Elizabethtown; his mother-in-law, Shirley Swain of Traverse City, Michigan; four sisters, Barbara Milne of Mobile, Alabama, and Judy Taylor, Joanna Goodman and Missy Stuckey and her husband, James, all of Elizabethtown; three grandsons, Bentley Hager, Knox Hager and Foxton Hager, all of Brandenburg; his baby girl, Amber; and many family members and friends. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a balloon release to follow. He chose cremation. A graveside service will follow at a later date in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
